Spinal Decompression

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression

Spinal Decompression Therapy is a nonsurgical low cost alternative to more invasive procedures such as surgery or injections. It is a computerized-mechanical traction system that gently stretches the spine to increase space in the spinal canal, which helps take pressure off of degenerated, bulging, herniated, or protruding discs. Spinal decompression can also relieve any nerves that are being compressed in between the openings of the vertebrae. Spinal traction allows the vertebrae to open up and make room for the disc to retract by using a computer generated table with very gentle tension. With consistency this allows the disc to heal and helps to relieve neck, back, arm, and leg pain, numbness, or tingling. A completed decompression program can help reduce pain and get you back to living a better life.

It is most often used for conditions such as:

  • Degenerated discs
  • Bulging discs
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Pinched nerves
  • Sciatica
  • Facet syndrome
  • Spondylosis/arthritis

An average program usually takes 5-7 weeks with 15-20 treatment sessions to complete.  A number of our patients who decided to use decompression therapy have experienced great results.

We use Triton DTS decompression tables for both cervical and lumbar treatment plans in our office. They are gentle and effective for relieving pain and are used by hospitals and physical therapy clinics everywhere.  REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT
